layered accordion fun
As often goes, I was answering comments regarding this most recent tutorial that was posted on the YouTube channel this week. Doing so allowed me to give even more thought to this little o' mini album here.
In that video I make mention as to the why of the video. Of course, I'm a gonna have you go there to discover just what that is.
However, these three reasons came to the surface as to why there is so much love for this project. You all have weighed in beautifully about it. Many of you have even told me you have already made one. And it sounds as though there are plans to craft even more.
One of the reasons as to why we love this mini album:
1. It's Easy!
It is in fact SO easy. That is for sure the number reason for the love of this album. Now trust me...I love me a bunch of flips and pockets and tip ins and flappables. I really really do! But hey...we are here for easy and doable and let's make lots of them too!
That said, I am sharing how to make this from start to finish. There are a few little extra ideas. I say change the size. Shorten the flaps. Add to the back panels. It's just really a great foundation for your ideas to come to life.
OK...what's the next reason we are loving this make?
2. Shows off favorite papers.
I mean...let's be honest here. We love our papers. We love our patterns And many of us even confess our love for 49 and Market. This was a sweet and simple way to showcase papers. And when I say showcase papers, I mean use your stash, people! Use. Your. Stash. LOL!!!
Last reason, and I also share this in the video:
3. It's a quick fix for maybe forgotten photos...
or smaller stories, or a story that you want to give a great focus to. Or. OR...a great great make for crafting a gift for someone else. Now that's always a great idea!!!
