what's happening in the studio
Are you an email newsletter receiver?
Do you read those emails that flood your inbox?
I keep ruminating over whether this blog and space needs a newsletter.
In the meantime, consider this a weekly update, if you will.
If you are in the NorHem, or even SoHem, you may have felt a sudden shift in the season. I know we did here. The mornings are much cooler. The evenings darker sooner. Football all weekend. And chili was even made this past weekend to kick off the new season. I'm a traditionalist like that...what can I say.
So. Of course. All this is reflected in the studio happenings too.
Be sure to take note: this week at the SBC kicking off the new season is a fall sale. You are gonna find festive savings on thankgiving, fall as well as floral themed supplies. And if I know you, dear crafty friend, you are here for the florals and leaves and all the layering things.
Be sure to check out all the sale items HERE.
Along with the fall sale is the Exclusive Die Cutting Sale.
What is the exclusive part of this you may ask?
These are the dies that are the ScrapbookCom brand. You can only find them there. The sale starts at 20% but I am seeing items all the way to 60% off. This is a great time to purchase for gift making as well as gift giving.
Like the Magic Mat. Dang if that is not a needful tool in this studio. True story: it's my most favorite cutting mat to use with the Spellbinders P6 Machine.
By way of reminder, the SBC Fest Fall Wreath Freebie is still available for free. And to be sure, add some floral die cuts to the leaves and this wreath is pretty much seasonless.
HERE IN THE STUDIO
While I am still waiting for the new 49 and Market ARToptions Spice collection to hit the shop (it canNOT come soon enough) there are a few new to the studio items that I did grab recently.
As seen above, the new Sketchy Leaves from Stampers Anonymous and Tim Holtz is G O R G E O U S!
Finally I am going to delve into the world of ink blending my own diy stamp pad. Starting with some festive colors. These ReInkers are so gorgeous together. This may be a new obsession, folks. Thinking I will tutorial this to share with all my stampy friends.
A new Distress Oxide in the house is the Ground Espresso. I mean. C'mon. Why did I never have this color before? It's the most gorgeous and richly pronounced brown. And espresso??? Here for it. And so are all the leaves I will be stamping. Gosh I love this making time of year. What about you?
Last thing in this show and tell article today (see...it's true...everything you needed to know you learned in kindergarten) is this new rub-on transfer called Date Essentials. This whole calendar, planner, office supply lover in this maker girl just could not resist.
OK. That's it sort of for now.
There is Christmas here in the house too. I will share that next week, along with another very special week celebration to come.
Have a great one.
