an easy, fun and doable gift idea
What is your favorite 'mini' album to craft? Are you a bound book maker? How about a tag mini? Have you made a tag mini before?
Do you know just how easy it is to make a tag mini? Well. My hope today is to inspire you to use your stash, or, if there is a fresh collection you have been eyeballing and wish to put to use, have I got an idea for you!
May is a busy gift making month. Why do I always forget that until it's upon me like spring rain? So making I have been doing. Lots of making. But hey...here's my preach: if you know how to do a thing, do it well and do it for someone else. That's my preach. We have so much pretty paper and dies and what not in our stash, am I right? This is my encouragement to use said stuff and make it pretty and share your handmade love with another.
OK. Exiting my soap box now.
This gift is for my Mom. It was going to be birthday, which is also this month, but Mother's Day it is going to be instead. Especially since the subject of this mini album is her great granddaughter which we would not have had unless she was a mother in the first place. Did you follow that?
So here is how this started. Nested Tag Dies are the star of this show. With the dies I cut pattern paper tags with new BoBunny Brighton. Also slipped in there a few acetate tags as well. In no certain order as to size I then made each of these tags a canvas for photo plus a mini embellished cluster of embellishment.
I share this formula in the video tutorial included below.
On each of these tags is a mini cluster of embellishment as I stated before. You can watch THIS video where I talk about the formula for that idea. This 'mini' holds about eight tags. By changing up the look of the embellishment, but also using the 'formula', one can craft this mini album to look super beautiful and special in no time.
This idea is one of my favorite ways to make. It's always a well loved and cherished gift. And it's just so dang pretty. Oh...and I explain the concept of how to make in this included video. Hope you will watch. And leave a comment and a like if you do.
Hope you are inspired to use your stash or new collections in this very doable and lovely tag mini.
