completely lovely
Who agrees it's a great idea to start the year off with an uber-creative kick off like brand new Tim Holtz Sizzix?!?!
Me. Me. Me.
I am so very motivated by this new release. It's fun. Funky. Pretty. Sort if even hinting of the spring that we must remember is only two months or so away.
This is a quick little post to just whet one's appetite with some ideas I had for making with a couple of these new die sets.
Above you can catch a look at the new Brushstoke Flowers Mini. You may recall my first foray into 'brushstrokes' dies. Well HERE you go if you would like some ideas and tips on how I like to use these unique die sets. I went for it again. And dang if I don't LOVE LOVE how this first tag turned out. Of course, she made a tag!!! Ha ha.
Stay tuned for the process video on this little gratitude number. I mean...I can't keep this to myself. I will for sure be sharing how I colored the background using another of the new die sets to add some pattern. How I cut the die in colored cardstock but then added some ink blending to the petals. And then how the rub-ons only added fun to the background. Oh...and then the secret behind that gratitude stamped image that looks perfectly distressed. Seriously, friends. I just got lucky.
Next set I am swooning over is the Blossom set. SO PRETTY. Now, remember, I use to avoid these seemingly complicated die sets. Not no more! I'm addicted, I tell you. I'm in love and I want everyone to know it.
This is what I came up with. I love everything about this card front wanna be from the background inking to the patterned paper middle and then the cardstock petals. ScrapbookCom cardstock came in a cinch to help me craft the leaves. Yes. I did die cut more than one set of leaves. Because. Leaves!
Remember I said there was funk? Well, here it is. Called Abstract Elements. And seriously. I had NO idea what to do with it.
But did you spy how this set found its way in the tag from the first image? Go look at that again.
Be sure to catch the Alphanumeric Emporium. So good. I love these letters. Good size standing at 1 1/4 inches tall. These alpha dies are making the title and year date in the above art journal page. This set will be used quite often too I'm a feelin'.
So. What do you think? Which one is your favorite? What can't you live without? Let me know in the comments below. I love hearing all your thoughts.
In the meantime, if one of these is a must have for you, would love a click through. Keeps posts and inspiration coming. Thank you all for being here!
Hard decision, I want them all LOL!
