Do You Know What a Planner Page is Like? | June Memory Planner

As it is the middle of the month, it's been a week or so of adding to last month's Memory Planner. I like to have it all caught up by the 15th. Then I am all ready to share with you on my YouTube Channel.

This post today is a look at those completed pages. Besides the fact that I am trippin' over the reality that it is now the middle of July already, and there are six months of planner pages all completed in these planners...I am also thinking through what Memory Planning is. At least for some of us. Ok...well...for me. But perhaps you can relate.

Memory Planner is the REEL of memory keeping.

What do I mean by that?

Memory Planner pages, for me anyway, are not terribly indepth. For me these are not scrapbook pages that tell a story at a deeper level. Memory Planner is what REELS are to Instagram. A quick look. A perusal. Definitely a stamp in time. I am in no way diminishing the incredible way we planners get to stop the blur on these pages.

Don't get me wrong at all. I am here for that! I love these pages for so many reasons. It's a true story.

Often I get asked 'what do you put on your pages?'.  'How do you decipher what actually makes the page?'.

Honestly, great questions.

And honestly, each planner babe needs to answer that one for themselves.

Because I will tell you...how I go about one month might be slightly or completely different the next month. It's consistently not consistent. Does that concept make sense?

In this month's video walk through I do talk about what I call 'classic Jamie' page sketch. Which is always where these pages come from at the onset.

But when I get a bit too serious about how it all should look and a bit too overwhelmed that I might have more story than I do space, I like to remember it's the REEL. It's not the true feed of my story telling.

Let me wrap this up by adding even one more caveat to this: 

Memory Planner is a catalog to my memories. It's already categorized by time. Year. Month. Week. Day. And if life is terribly busy. If the mountains are calling and I must answer, well then, I have this REEL right here in my Memory Planner. When time and thought permits then I can expound that story in my Storyteller Inserts or Storyline Chapters Insert. And I am never actually ever behind.

And that is what a planner page is like.
