who's a fan of making lists?
I started this little Card and Letter Writing Month series HERE with some card making. Those card making ideas will continue before the month is out. Today, however, I needed a solution for remembering the people I wanted to write cards and letters to.
While I had a running list on a piece of scrap paper, I really needed in my life to have a pretty folio. A folio of lists. And not just for lists, but for a catchall to some other items I was sort of collecting on the way to being better at sending cards and letters.
I crafted this folio using Heidi Swapp's new Sun Chaser pattern papers. There will be a video sharing just how this came together. Be watching for that. It's for sure on it's way.
I also took the time, while all the things were out, to create a vellum pocket. Are you like me and always misplacing your stamps. And by stamps I mean postage stamps? Well. No more. While crafting this folio I also made a pocket. And not in the pocket I can place the vellum pocket of stamps. I mean, seriously, friends. It's the little things that make me so happy. Like...knowing where my postage stamps are living.
Let's chat about the vellum pocket for just a second here.
1. First...I used the new vellum packs from ScrapbookCom Exclusives. Friends...I am a fan of this vellum. I talk about it in the upcoming video. It has a great weight. 40 lb. to be exact.
2. What makes a great vellum for me is that when I score it, like one had to do with the pockets above, that it does not crack or break. You ever have that happen to you? I mean, it ruins a whole project, right?
3. Vellum pockets are great for packaging cards for flatmail, for holding postage stamps (check), or even if you want to gather ephemera from a collection? Yeah. Make a vellum pocket to hold all the things.
OK...I digress..back to the lists folio.
This folio now sits in my box right here on my desk. The box also holds cards pre-made. So now I have a growing collection, starting with that book of lists, to make sending a card or writing a letter just that much easier. And of course, fun.
