Can I share one of my gift secrets with you? A 6x8 album. Yep! I have been gathering a few of these albums to give as gifts this year for Christmas.
You have seen me talk about the exclusive 6x8 2-ring binders on this year's December Album videos. You can look at those right HERE. Honestly, I have quite the collection of these albums now. They are a great size. There are plenty of pocket page orientations to choose from. AND...I am hoping (fingers crossed) that these will be received as great gifts.
But...one cannot forget the making of a pretty tag to sit on said album gift. Here's what I did.
Purchased the white 6x8 2-ring binder. Then a good collection of pocket page protector. Those were then tucked inside the album.
Then a piece of wide ribbon that was here in the stash wrapped the album and the protectors closed.
But wait...there's more...
Then a tag HAD to be crafted to give the gift idea a finishing touch.
Want to know how this was made?
Well, that Roses Smooth Cardstock is my friend. I grabbed one of the darker hues and stamped it with the Thankful And Grateful Slimline Stamp in Aged Mahogany. That was trimmed down to about 2 1/2-inches wide and v notched at the end.
Next, the MERRY Block was cut out of a piece of scrap paper found in the stash. It was glued to a piece of vellum, also v-notched at the end.
Seasonal Sketch dies were cut with one of the Mixed Metals cardstock. Those sweet cuts were tucked under seam binding I had dyed with Tattered Rose Distress Ink.
Then, using my ever so beloved December Wordfetti word phrase stamps set I stamped the phrase and trimmed it out like a journal strip to finish off this tag.
Now you know my secret for being on the nice list. Give a gift of storytelling with this 6x8 Album. Not only will this be given as a gift, but the intent is to then help the recipient with a photo project they have spoken of. It's a gift + a gift. Can't wait for Christmas in a big way.
