mini albums inside mini albums
Here is my hope:
that you catch a bit of my excitement in today's video making this little tree mini inside the Heidi Swapp Christmas Storytellers Insert.
Because?
It. Was. Fun.
It was just fun!
All week over on my Instagram feed I have been featuring the new ScrapbookCom Nested Tree Dies. It was one of those new 'cool tools' that I did not think much of when I first received. But then...I played with them. And that's the magical exercise: creative play.
I played and I cut and I glued and I imagined and I came up with this:
I want a mini tree album inside my Heidi Swapp Christmas Storyline Insert.
So. That's what I did.
Here is all one really needs to make this happen:
cardstock for the cover of the Tree Mini
something to hold the mini: the above StoryTellers Insert
something to put inside: watch the video to see how I added photos plus stamp collage
and then see links below for my favorite Christmas Distress Oxides (hurry...these colors are selling out!)
One of the keys to a mini inside a bigger mini is to keep the embellishing flat. There just is not much wiggle room. Stamped embellishment is key. I used mostly Heidi Swapp Christmas Stamps to make the most of this mini and to give it a very festive vibe.
Take a look here at how this came together. Or actually, if you can even follow along...LOL...no. Seriously now. It's pretty intuitive. You'll see here:
Let me know if you try this.
Let me know if you have any questions.
And...as always...remember to tell your story.
