why christmas in july

Christmas in July is a real thing

Ooof! I have heard: I'm not ready for Christmas!

Christmas in July? Are you kidding me?

But did you know it's actually a real thing?

There are real Christmas in July celebrations around the world?

Here in the states it's not actually a real holiday. But rather a time frame of things to come. A prep time. It's when all the craft based retailers pull out the December holiday fare and promote and start to talk it up.

It happens every year. People, like me, balk at it.

But then what happens?

December is here on top of a person and all the gifts and cards and ideas we may could have thought about in July did not happen! Because we just can't fit it all in.

Thus Christmas in July.

ScrapbookCom is celebrating all month. This week through Monday, July 19, they even have a most lovely Merry Christmas Die that's FREE!!!

That's just one way to get you in the mood.

I for one may just be a believer if there is freeness involved.

And isn't that just it?

I even heard a fellow crafter say that all the promo has helped to get them in the mood and they are motivated to get cards created.

Did you know that September is the most popular month to make Christmas cards? I didn't know that.

I think with that in mind, now is the best time to actually purchase items for those cards. Decide on a color palette (if you do that sort of thing). And even start gathering gifts of stocking stuffers now!

That way, we can just be in the moment the month of December if we do a little bit right now.

Can you tell that even I am excited for this? I am here for it.

OK...

so...

first things first.

Run over to ScrapbookCom and grab the freebie.

Take a look at the projects made with that freebie (these tags shown in this post are part of those projects)...

And maybe make a few plans for Christmas now...

It's going to be Christmas before you know it.
