in the spirit of joy and enthusiasm
This is it. This is the last holiday project for the year. It's been a busy season. But I am actually so thankful for the busyness. Not too much. Just enough. It's been another round of difficult with mandates and policies and what not. To dive into creativity and making and giving has been a gift.
And with that I want to leave a gift for you. I just want to wish you a special blessing as I sign out for a few days to dive a little deeper in our Christmas celebration here at home.
You see I did a bit of a change up, and went out on a limb. I took to creating a bit outside my realm of comfort. Don't get me wrong, I love mixed media. But there are SO. MANY. AMAZING. creatives out there doing it so darn well. That said, they've had an influence on me (Tim Holtz makers anyone?)
So I took a plain wood board that was literally stashed away. I had a choice since I am also ruthlessly destashing again, I could use it and make, or I could toss it. The creative in me took over and started to make instead.
I also made a video of the making. I was actually totally winging it. Had no idea where it was going to go. I was actually OK with that. Especially when I had the thought to add in those Heidi Swapp Gold Foil Flakes. Then I just got crazy giddy.
All the details are shared in my little, what I call, music creative video. You can follow along and make the same. Or save it for later and use the ideas to make for another season. It's generic enough for that. You'll see.
All the products (except for the glittery snowflake and paint) are Heidi Swapp. After all, this is a post for the Heidi Swapp Media Team, so I got that covered by using pattern paper from Storyline Chapters. Thickers from that collection too. And then the Foil Flakes to make those letters stand out.
The definition to Kefi is defined right there on the mixed media board. And it's my wish for you this season:
I wish for you, my friends, the spirit of joy, enthusiasm and high spirits in which good times and passion for life are expressed. That is my hope and prayer for you.
Merry Christmas, dear friends. See you on the other side of Christmas.
