giving a title to your album
Yesterday's post was a bit of a chat about what I have learned from my Storyline Chapters Insert this year. As well as what my Family Chapters Album is doing for me.
Today I want to share a real easy way to add to the cover of the insert. I added a title to the Storyline Chapters Insert with ScrapbookCom Smooth Cardstock and Beautiful Family Sentiments Die Set. These two items are new and exclusive to ScrapbookCom.
The new Smooth Cardstock A2 Paper Pads are coming in clutch for me with my crafting efforts of late. I adore the range of colors that are found in these themed pads. Plus the compact size they come in makes them super easy to store and have accessible on my work table. Love that!
The Beautiful Family Sentiments came to mind when I was thinking of how to add a title to this Storyline Insert Cover. As a matter of fact, all the dies found in this Family Word Die set would make great themes for the Storyline Chapters Inserts.
Can't you see all of these giving title to an album? I think they would work perfectly.
I trimmed out a piece of the Smooth Cardstock that I thought was a close monochromatic match to the stripes in the cover of the album.
The die and that paper seriously work together beautifully. I was so pleased how gorgeous the cut is. Be sure to snag the Mint Tape from ScrapbookCom to help hold the die in place on the paper. I use it all the time to hold my dies in place. Sometimes they slip even with a magnetic pad, and I can't like that.
I really like using the Smart Glue to adhere these skinny die cuts to my projects. One just needs to not squeeze too much. All one really needs is a thin line of the glue in the little channels on the back of the die cut. Works great each time.
The 'chapters' was stamped using the Vintage Type Lower Case stamp set on vellum. What a cutey little stamp set. Coming soon to more album pages near you. Then I snagged the '20 from the Storyline Chapters Chipboard Alphas. And, it's super simple, but I like how this came together. It's just what my cover needed to distinguish this album from all the others that are coming together.
I hope this inspires you to play a little bit with the new Smooth Cardstock. You will need all the colors. Trust me. Don't say I didn't warn ya.
