Lightbox and inspiration

I am a very visual person. I see something, and I am inspired to make. I read something and I am inspired to think and process and apply. I watch something and I am impacted for days.

So when I was assigned to make a Lighbox Project for the Heidi Swapp Team I questioned why I did not utilize that wonderful visual asset more often.

Now to be honest, let's remember something: visual reminders do not need to be original. Clearly this sentiment here on this Lightbox adorning my creative space is inspired from the Ephemera from Old School. What A Time To Be Alive.

And while that is a very true saying, it can go in a negative way, or it can provide a positive way.

Clearly this IS quite a time to be alive. We will be sharing these stories of 2020 for years to come. Or maybe we won't. Maybe we would rather just forget it all.

My point, however, this sentiment provides for me a reminder that any time is a time to be alive. While the news crashing all around us can impact negatively, we can control the volume as well as the channel. We can provide for ourselves those items that help us in fact celebrate whatever season we are in.

For this Lightbox display I am using the kit called Beach Please. I mean, with a name like that? Why wouldn't you want to have that front and center in your life?
