#30DaysOfCreativity continues
This past week on my Instagram feed (@jamiepate) I posted MemoryDex cards from the first week of #30DaysOfCreativity.
Each day I posted a new MemoryDex Card using the new Heidi Swapp Art Walk Paper Line. This was a great creative exercise to stay with one collection, adhere to one hue, yet come up with several cards. As I like to call it, a variation on a theme.
AND...these cards are now becoming the collection for my 2020 MemoryDex Spinner.
Today's post includes a video look at last year's 2019 MemoryDex Spinner. That black holder of MemoryCards from last year is almost completely full. And I wanted to share with you how that came together.
It does not take much to fill up a Spinner actually. That one in particular does not even hold a card from each month of the year.
What if we made a card a week?
Or like the month of March, a card a day just to stretch our creative abilities?
What if instead of a mini album we created a card album of an event or vacation or day trip?
How about birthday cards for everyone's birthdays you celebrate?
Or quotes? You know I am a quote-a-vore ( I just made that word up), what if we dedicated cards to our most meaningful quote discoveries?
Five ideas right there for filling a MemoryDex.

Now let the National Craft Month continue with the making of even more cards for our Spinners.

And as I re-boot a new week here in the studio, I will also be switching up the palette for this week's cards.
In the meantime, the card above was inspired by Ali Edward's Stamp Week. I used the Honey & Spice Stamp Set to create the background to this die cut MemoryDex Card. I loved the subtle pink rose that made this card foundation. More Art Walk layered on the top of the card utilizing the Embossed Tags + Washi Tape and a Word Phrase from a Tim Holtz Sticker collection.
As the MemoryDex Hole Punch was re-stocked at Scrapbook . com, I thought it was a great idea to trim out a previously crafted tag, and then punch the tag so it could be part of the Spinner.
This is a great idea for travel ephemera too. Especially if you make your spinner a mini album of sorts. The possibilites are limitless using that there Hole Punch.
