how to add texture to a mini album
There are so many ways to add interest, fun, and artistic flair to a mini album.
Today I am on the PaigeEvans+Silhouette blog talking about just one way.
Taking Paige Cut Files like the Zinia Flower
or the Leaves Background
or my favorite the Flower Garden Background, and also...
Leaf Background
Sunburst Rays
I cut them on heavy stock cardstock and used the cut files as stencils.
Using the Ranger Texture Paste you can find HERE, a palette knife, and a cut file, I made white on white pages that really pop against the color and hues of the Truly Grateful Paper Line.
Sometimes creative ideas turn out better than you think. This was one of those times. Wasn't quite sure how the white would play out on the white. But lucky me, it provided a beautiful background that wasn't too busy. Yet was able to hold a photo. As well as display embellishments from Truly Grateful that only helped to add to the story, the colors, and the vibe of these fall pics.
The pages in this mini album repeat the theme through out. Only thing different from spread to spread is the embellishments. This is a great idea for a mini album. Next time, try and decide on a sketch for all the pages in your book. Then just play those out a little different with embellishments.
Here's your challenge:
cut several digi cut files on cardstock
use to create design on white cardstock with texture paste
use Truly Grateful with your favorite fall pics
and tell stories that provide meaning to you.
oh...and most of all...have fun!
