life lessons learned daily

It’s said that personal growth comes from turning our daily experiences into life lessons.
(Yeah. I know…I have a knack for diving deep fast.)
When I read that idea recently I thought immediately about telling our story.
Telling our story stops an experience for all of time, right?

It’s documented with words and photos. We journal the details. The feels. We are actually writing the story.

This to me allows that idea to come to life.
By telling our story we get to turn an experience in our daily into a life lesson.
Who knew!?!?!

It's funny to me. Even the embellishments that surround my photos and story speak to me about a lesson I can learn from a moment in time. Does that ever happen to you? A layout or mini album from months or even a few years ago. Perusing through it in a quiet moment. You come across a sentiment on a page. And it strikes you. It hits you. Fresh. With new meaning. What other device do we have in our lives that speaks right back to us? But our stories?

How powerful can that be? The power of story. It simply continues to amaze me as I persist in this hobby. That I can keep learning from past experiences. I can go on and learn new lessons because of a photo I took or a story I wrote in the past. It can speak into me now.

Let's keep telling those stories. Let's refresh ourselves yet again. Maybe that means adjusting how you tell. Simplifying the process. Finding a new angle. I know for me I am always looking to simplify while also enjoying the creative part.

This layout is a page from January. I just keep thinking about it. Even in the seven months since this photo was taken our lives have ebbed and flowed so much. This moment of shenanigans between these two sibs is now so priceless to me. This little story speaks to me even deeper than the words I wrote. It makes me so happy I have this. And it never, never hurts to make these stories pretty too.

Thank you for reading.
