highlighting stories
One of my forever favorite ways to highlight the non-everyday stories is with a mini album.
Taking Heidi Swapp's 10 Stories idea she has on her Instagram Stories Hightlights (you can find that inspiration on her feed under May Connections AND get instructions on her version) plus the Wolf Pack Collection, I crafted an envelope album inspired by her mini album.
I love this album!!!
The book has a fantastic binding technique and my signature sticking out pieces along the edge. Why do I love this feature so much?!?!? I just do.
Inside is a very special project for a recent event my daughter was a part of. Mini album pages are great little canvases to just do your scrapbook page thing. My usual layers and words and die cuts and stamps are found here on this opening page.
Each page spread holds a photo facing an envelope opening. The photo pertains to the story that was typed out on my computer. Then printed on cardstock. Then tucked away inside each envelope.
The Thickers from the Heidi Swapp Wolf Pack Collection are used on each page. These numbers coordinate with the week of the story found inside the envelope.
As is my way, I just repeat embellishment elements from page to page. A Paige Evans Branch Cut File plus labels and stamps. The Thicker number and something else to add to the layers.
Have I told you I love this album?
