I for one am a thankful American today.
Time continues to show me whether it is in my family, or my church, or my neighborhood, or my country, it doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful.
And for that alone I am very thankful.
Admittedly this country has many things it needs to get figured out. But that takes a people willing to do just that.
In the meantime, I will continue to celebrate her, and be thankful for the lucky opportunity I have to be a citizen of this country.
Happy birthday, America! May you continue to be the land of the free and the home of the brave.
