adding Minc touches to a page layout

Let's get right to it, shall we?
How to add Heidi Swapp Minc Foil Collection elements to a page.

I love how these five ways came together for me on this page. I really do. Because you see, I think we can over do it with the glam. But that might just be me. I tend to scrapbook a bit on the conservative side. So I am careful when I add Minc Foil from the Heidi Swapp Minc Collection. I love to bring in the glittery and foil touches, but in a way that does not take over the story.

The first way I added Minc Foil to this art album page is by starting with the background. Using the 12x12 Minc Reactive Paper Pad, I foiled the large dot paper with the Silver Square Foil. It's just enough dot. It's just enough foil to back up the photo and story found on my page.

The second way to put Minc on the page is by using the Minc Glue Pen.

Using the glue pen I added a stripe of glue to the edge of the pink pattern Emerson Lane paper. Then using the Minc Glitter Sheets in Silver, I just laid the glitter over the glue. Gently rubbed in place. And tah dah! A glittered edge. Love how gorgeous yet subtle that came out.

The third way Minc is on this page is with more layered Minc Reactive Paper. The stunning floral line design found behind the photo is vellum. Foiled with more Silver Square Foil it creates one of my most favorite patterns found on all of the Reactive Paper Pads. Not only is the vellum subtle and ethereal, but the foil floral pattern adds a beautiful touch as well.

The 4th way to put Minc on a page is with those sweet die cut flowers. There are a couple of ways this could happen. I chose to place double sided adhesive on cardstock. Then I ran that through my Evolution Die Cutting machine with some flower dies I have in my stash. Then removing the adhesive on the top, I then layered foil over the adhesive tapping gently. Pulling up the foil left the silver on these flowers.

Watch this video to see how this technique works on these Hawthorne Double-sided Stickers.

The last way to put Minc on a page is using this cutey little 6x6 Minc Reactive Paper Pad.

This little cut-away sheet is included in the Reactive Paper Pad. I just trimmed it out from the 6x6 paper. Then I foiled it through the Minc Machine with Pink Reactive Foil. The pink foil is a great touch to the pink and silver page. The foil is consistent with the other foil embellishments on this layout. And the sentiment is on point.

There are many ways to put Minc on the page. These are just five. And even with these five the possibilities are endless. Tell your story with plenty of words, a photo or two, and Minc on the page.

  1. Sorry Jaime gotta disagree with you on this one - you can NEVER have too much glam! (wink-wink)
I tease my friends all the time whenever anyone ask me my fav color I tell them "Glitter" or anything "Sparkly". As always love your ideas! I have the minc machine and certainly don't use it enough so thanks for the great idea. Stay blessed!
