Are scrapbookers happier than most others?
Is it me?
or do you find that scrapbookers tend toward a happy disposition?
Here's my theory:
scrapbookers (aka: storytellers) contextualize their stories often with a bent toward remembering the good and thankful rather than remembering the gap and negative.
That does not mean we ignore the chapters of our lives that are challenging and difficult.
More to the point, the scrappers I have met on my travels focus more on gratitude than on their circumstances. They find gain from their situations and through the beautiful hobby of scrapbooking they focus on the good and give much effort to see that the fabulous of their lives takes flight. They do this by owning and telling their stories.
This focus on gain lends itself to a happy, grateful, and an even more creative life.
So is it just me? I would love to hear your observations on the matter.

Hi Jaime,
ReplyDeleteI don't scrapbook but I do enjoy looking at the lovely created pages. I always wondered this...how or where do scrapbookers keep the pages they created. Do you keep them in a book, or display each page individually, etc.? I would love to know and hope that they are created and displayed for everyone to enjoy and not just being 'stored away' and forgotten. Like most of us, we take tons of pics on our phones and never do much with them. I certainly hope this isn't the case with your lovely scrapbook pages. Thank you for sharing your creative talent with all of us!
Hey Belinda...
DeleteThanks for stopping in.
I for one do both. I keep layout pages out for a bit. Sometimes on an easel. Sometimes on a wall. But most often they make their way to their designated album. But to be sure, they are enjoyed by everyone. Our albums are easily accessible and the kids will pull one down often and look yet again. I am always endeavoring to get my photos printed and to keep the stories going. Thank you for inquiring.
Good to hear they are being enjoyed by all. Thanks Jaime.
