Wrap Up a Sweet Treat For Valentines
September, October and November brings with it fall colors and a gratitude vibe.
December for me is always wrapped in Christmas colors with gold and silver foil touches.
January is all about fresh starts and even a lot of new color to help jump start the new year.
And February…bring on the hearts and love!
Valentines is an opportunity to not only reach out and let our sweethearts know we love them. But this fun day has sort of evolved to encompass our gal pals, friends, teachers and what not. Which is to say a wider opportunity to make pretty stuff and give it away as an act of love.
This brings me to a little gifty-idea for some leaders in my kids lives. I wanted to take this occasion to craft them a card or tag and a smallish gift with the intent to say thank you in the spirit of the festive day that is Valentines.
I gathered some items in one place to work on my idea. This included an awesome little crafty sesh (and how I have been lovin’ my crafty sessions of late). And those crafty sesh’s always include a glass of sparkly water and my favorite Spotify playlist.
The items needed to create this idea included:
Heidi Swapp Stationery
Heidi Swapp Heart Tag Kit
twine
and a little gift to give…I found these adorable Cupid’s Crunch Trail Mix at Target
Plus:
hot glue gun
paper trimmer
hole punch
This Valentines Made Easy could not be…well…easier.
The trail mix package was slipped inside the envelopes that are included with the Stationery cards. The envelope was a little bumpy, but that was OK. It just tells the recipient there is something more than another card to open.
Next I trimmed the A2 card a tad so that when I added it to the front of the envelope gift the envelope peeked out the sided. A hole was punched in the top of the card and the envelope.
Last thing was to tie the card to the envelope, after affirmations and sentiments were added to the inside of the card first.
I think these Heidi Swapp Stationery Cards capture an awesome Valentine vibe. Sharing gratitude and love is just one of the best things you can do for those who volunteer and help in your kid’s lives.
At this point the gift can be embellished further. I added the acrylic heart from the Heart Tag Kit…cause I just adore those acrylic hearts so very much.
Wrap up a sweet treat for your sweetheart or anyone who deserves to know you appreciate them.
This week's process video is a tutorial of these Valentines Made Easy.
And Happy (almost) Valentine’s Day.
