Joy brought through the crafting of mini albums
I like that.
Doing a thing outside our comfort zone knowing the ‘thing’ will bring us joy.
And so it goes. Finding joy in doing the simplest of tasks. Bringing enrichment into our lives by way of words + photos + beautifully appointed paper collections.
By way of business, I just want to relay to you, this mini card album was crafted with Heidi Swapp Hawthorne that is still available at Scrapbook.com. See the links below for what I used in this album.
Now that that is out of the way. Let’s talk about another type of mini album.
This week on Heidi Swapp’s blog I am sharing a Tag Book, which is to say another form of a mini album, that I constructed from Emerson Lane. You can find a freebie HERE for the making of that book. Assembling that mini album, as well as this Hawthorne Card Album I made for a friend, brought with it a great sense of joy and fulfillment.
It’s sort of like a hobby within a hobby. We all share the interest of paper crafting, I am assuming, or maybe you would not be here reading this blog. But within that vast sphere of creativity there are niches that I think some of us come back to again and again.
As content creator currently for HeidiSwapp.com and PaigeTaylorEvans.com I am found to be constructing differing aspects of memory keeping, card making, and home decor diy. I love all of that challenge.
But when it comes down to wanting to find my true heart on the matter of this amazing hobby and industry called paper crafting, it’s the words + photos that bring me back to the most passionate part of what captivates this creative soul.
And mini albums are right up there with the craft sesh that brings the most joy.
This mini album that is cut from the Paige Evans’ Mini Album Card is one I keep coming back to. I love it’s unique size. I love it’s intricate puzzle like pages. I love that it holds plenty of photos and can be constructed in not much time at all. Leaving me even more time to make another. (Cause I think I need to make one of these in each of the paper collections currently in my stash).
It also uses plenty of Hawthorne papers and pieces to bring just the right vibe to the girlfriend weekend housed within it’s intricate pages.
Joy brought through the crafting of mini albums.
So.
Question…What brings you the most joy in your paper crafting hobby? I would love to know. Please comment in the space below.
