designer day 2018 recap

Whew!
I am back.
From Designer Day 2018 in Milwaukee!

Designer Day is the day before the She Loves Color weekend. This creative event is inspired by Stephanie Smokovich and her Bella Blvd scrapbook company.

Designer Day is the ala carte portion of the weekend's event. As you can see above the line up of talent that offers several classes that are available the Thursday before She Loves Color begins.
Here were my offerings for the day. I created three different Heidi Swapp inspired projects. They were all well received and loved. And I dearly loved presenting them all.

I arrived the day before as I had last minute details to tend to with my kits.

I taught a class that was three layouts:

This class was called Pineapple Crush Interactive. As with the other mini album, I wanted to teach the attendees how to create an album from start to finish. This project is full of interactive techniques. But they all made beautiful books.

This album, called One More Memory, is a personal favorite. It too was very interactive and includes a hidden binding.

And you know...it's never just about the projects...

because it's most definitely about the people. The attendees. Rooms full of creatives.

Especially when you had quite a few that took more than one class, you got to know the crazies, I mean the ladies that are the creative mess seen here.

This is Susan Lepore. And she pretty much was the inspiration for a lot of friends to attend my classes. She may or may not have purchased ALL THREE OF MY CLASSES. No pressure there, Susan!

Then there is the Puerto Rico Contingent. What beautiful, happy, and creative dancing ladies they were. They just make you so happy to be around.

They were always in matching colors. And did I mention they came all the way from Puerto Rico!!!

And not only was I deeply honored to be apart of this Designer Day event again this year...

but I have been asked to teach again next year...but this time for the main event...She Loves Color 2019.

I will be back in Wisconsin again next year...and hope you will make your way there too. It's such a great party.
