September 6 is Read A Book Day
Someone once said "Reading is the worse invention ever." Ha! Some of my kids would agree.
But I love to read. I have a deep appreciation of what reading can do for the mind. The heart. The senses.
You know the old tome, "Readers are leaders." Well. I just so happen to think that is true. While it takes discipline to read, the results are powerful. Fueling the mind to create new connections of knowledge and understanding. Reading is uplifting and inspiring. The activity has the power to take you places you've never been before and to think thoughts you've never had previously.
