Celebrate Sisters Day.
You know I am one to find an excuse to get creative on a scrapbook page.
Sisters Day, which was August 5th this year, is no exception. In fact. It only fuels my need.
Using the Storyline Collection by Heidi Swapp (that is available at Michaels Stores) I gathered a few of the Deck of Days cards. These word cards supported my feelings about my sister and this quirky little photo shoot we were part of a while back.
The page spread is kept fairly clean. Just Deck of Days. A hand drawn circle. And of course the story.
I have to shout out this Beautiful Life album. It's one of the 8 1/2 X 11 ring bound albums, also available at Michaels Stores. It's that classic Heidi Swapp Black Stripe. It's a stunning album and holds some of my dearest stories.
Bringing these silly little stories of my only sister and me to life promotes much joy for me. Now these aren't just photos sitting around or lost on my hard drive. Printing these images. Placing them on paper. Surrounding them with sentiment brings this story to a prominent place in my life and memory. If you are any kind of story teller, you totally get that.
Storyline is a simplified approach to tell your story. It in no way lessens the story. But rather, focuses the creating of a page so that the creating of the memories have plenty of time to be made.
