Introducing Color Pour by American Crafts.
American Crafts has just introduced a new line of pouring paint called Color Pour. You've seen all the acrylic pour paint techniques on Pinterest, right?
American Crafts has now created kits to make it even easier to create these canvas works of art with no effort at all.
OK. Well. Maybe a little bit of effort.
I was sent the Pre Mixed Pouring Paint Kit in Berry Rush.
I also received the Silver Metallic Pour Paint as well. It's sold separately. While I took some step-out images using that paint, as you will see, I ended up just using the kit only. I really liked how these colors worked together.
A product that I found is my new favorite are these Mica Flakes that are also part of the Color Pour Collection. I love how beautiful these are and how easy they were to use on my canvas.
I poured each of my chosen colors into cups. I quickly found that you can't use enough paint! Ha ha. I'm not kidding. To get a good pour on the canvas, you will need no less that 4-6 ounces of each color of paint. And maybe even more.
All the colors get poured into a single cup. Metallic or lightest color first.
This was my first attempt. See how I just added a few embellishments with the Mica Flakes? While the paint was wet I just sprinkled a few in each corner. These are magical!
My second attempt was with the Blush Rush Paint Kit only. The Mica Flakes came to play on this canvas too.
This was so easy. I can't wait to play with this even more using other acrylic pour techniques.
You never know what pattern you are going to get. And that is part of the beauty.
The joke in our house is that if it stands still long enough I'll paint it. Well. Now. I might just Color Pour it.
