Create a July 4 celebration with Heidi Swapp Lightbox.
Around here the July 4th celebration is a big deal.
For well over 10 years now we have hosted the block party in our neighborhood.
Neighbors, family and friends gather around. With them they bring food to share and plenty of fire works to light as the evening dims to dark.
It's always a fun time. And a great opportunity to gather festive decorations to add to the celebration. I can't even help myself. There is just something about a patriotic holiday spent on a summer afternoon that is elevated even more with decorations and lights.
There is always a Heidi Swapp Lightbox or two found in the array of the annual decorations that I pull out for the occasion.
And there is always food! Plenty of snacky food to take us through the evening. I found these treat bags at JoAnn Stores. Stars die cut from Heidi Swapp Hawthorne pattern paper add a festive touch to the fronts.
I also found that super fun polka dot tissue at JoAnn Stores and made these fire cracker looking tissue decorations.
And always the Lighbox. As the afternoon turns to dusk then dark, this is lit to continue the celebration on into the evening. People always love lit decorations. And I always love a yard full of friends celebrating our country's birthday.
