Using WeRMemoryKeepers with the HeidiSwapp Travel Journal
It would appear there may be an obsession with traveler's size journals and notebooks in my life.
There are many reasons for a travel journal. Currently mine are home to my current faith journal. Heidi Swapp's 2018ex journey. And always I love to put to use a travel journal for my current self improvement reading.
I believe in reviewing my reading once a week. This is how it goes. Every morning after my devotional time I read an essay in some sort of genre of self improvement. Currently I can be found in Leading An Inspired Life by Jim Rohn. Every day when I read I take notes highlighting what stood out to me in the essay. Then. At the end of the week, I recap what I read. And bullet point it in my Travel Journal.
This is one of my favorite ways to use a Travel Journal. It's a great way to review what I have read in a week. And...
it keeps it all very visual for me. The visual is so important. To have handy what has triggered inspiration in my mind. What motivates my thoughts. To have these words super handy in a journal is helpful for my daily journey.
On a practical level I like to alter my journals to make them work even better for me. For these pages I added in a tab page that was made using the WeR Tab Punch Board.
Adding a tabbed page like this offsets the page from the rest of the journal. This gives themes to my book. Especially if I have several months of notes included in the Travel Journal.
To wrap up these ideas, let's review:
- use a Travel Journal for a faith journal
- for Heidi Swapp's 2018Ex journey
- for a book review
- alter a Travel Journal for you
- make them pretty
- add tabbed pages with the WeR Tab Punch board
- oh, and an extra bonus, enjoy creating an awesome library of Travel Journals
