Give a Thanksgiving blessing to your family.
Not all my kids live at home anymore.
We seem busier than ever.
I tell my friends we are time poor.
Working through my mind how to adjust that. Cause it’s not really how I want to live.
In the mean time…it’s important that when the opportunity presents itself, that I take that and use it for good.
To speak into the current lives of my people.
To share the part of my heart that I was probably a bit too busy to slow down long enough to share.
Confession.
One way I plan to do just that...slow down and share my heart, is by giving my people each a Thanksgiving blessing. From me to them. Thanksgiving morning as we gather for our traditional breakfast together.
Vellum envelopes were created. Instax size photos printed. And my words hidden inside on a journal Filler Card. Words that I slowed down to think. And then to write. To them.
I loved how as I worked on these Thanksgiving Blessing cards and thought about how to set the table, that it caused me to ponder on each one of my kids. How the thinking and planning will now follow on those journal cards written just for them.
When the coming together happens even better than you hoped. That's when I know I did the right thing following my heart and sharing it with them.
Here's how these came together:
Using the WeRMemoryKeepers Envelope Punch Board (this is a serious must have tool in your paper crafting arsenal), I created envelopes out of vellum.
I used the 2.5x3.5" guide for making these envelopes. This was a good size for holding the Instax-sized Filler Cards.
Inside the vellum envelope will hold an Instax Vintage Quote Card (found in the Filler Card Packs). Along with the quote card, a journal card. The journal card will hold my Thanksgiving Blessing to that child in particular.
The Photo Stand is then filled with the vellum envelope that includes a photo on top.
Washi tape + Filler Card Pack stickers embellish the envelope further.
And this means the world to me to be able to impart to them my blessing for Thanksgiving.
