Happy Thanksgiving.
From our family to yours...wishing you a most beautiful Happy Thanksgiving.
I've gathered the Heidi Swapp White Lightbox.
A favorite font of letter inserts.
I've also gathered muted pumpkins and serving dishes and candles...
to create a visual reminder of just what it is we do on Thanksgiving.
We gather.
Creating these simple vignettes also creates a vibe, a feel. A focus on the days we find ourselves right in the middle of living. I want my people to always remember that these special holidays are for gathering. Being together. Halting our everyday routine. And being together.
Elements used to create this vignette:
a black check table cloth gives foundation to this space and also sets the tone for theme and color.
I painted a few pumpkins white...they were on hand and I knew I wanted to tone and mute the hues.
Vintage candle holders are turned over to give rise to yellow pumpkins.
Eucalyptus leaves add color and a feel of the outdoors.
An old chalkboard left blank is backdrop to the entire vignette.
This focal point has already grabbed the attention of my people here at home. And that's just what I wanted it to do. Creating seasonal vignettes sets the time and space apart. Gives the days surrounding the upcoming holiday a special place. Not only on the calendar, but most importantly in our hearts and home.
My wish is for your family to enjoy a wonderful gathering on Thanksgiving Day.
