How to keep gratitude visual.
The season of thanksgiving is upon us. Especially for those of us in the U.S. Thanksgiving is only a month away. And being the traditional girl that I am, my heart settles on the theme of thankfulness, blessings, and gratitude.
Along with the change of season, the change of decor takes place in my home. I recently put together this fall vignette as a focus on what lies just ahead of us. Thanksgiving.
I don't know about you, but my focus can be so myopic. The days can create in me such a nearsighted look at life. The ability to get so caught up in my to-do list makes everything urgent. Too often I sacrifice good for perfect. Just ask my kids.
It may seem like a simple thing, but for me, it's not. The simplicity of a visual reminder in a location I pass often in a day is just one way to keep gratitude on display for me. And while we all know I take Heidi Swapp product and make it pretty and am compensated for doing just that, I use her products in a way authentic to me and where I am in my life right now. And trust me, the need for a thankful heart right now is high on the need list.
Let me show you next what I used to create the details for the Heidi Swapp Lightbox Shelf.
The Lightbox Shelf has been an available item for quite some time now. It can be found at Scrapbook.com as well as well as Blitsy and even Walmart online.
I used a font that I thought fit best the message I wanted to convey. They are the International Black Alphabet Inserts.
Lastly I used the Grey Shelf Insert. It has a sort of wood grain pattern that I thought fitting for a rustic fall vignette.
So here's to being thankful. Keeping it visual. And making it all pretty.
My hope and prayer is that this post will inspire you to seek the same.
