It's time to start thinking about fall and the changing of the season.
For us in the Northern Hem it's this cozy time of year when the morning and evenings are cooler, and the days are subtly becoming shorter. Mums are showing up at the market and there is a tug to make some changes.
Today's change is brought to you by Heidi Swapp Chalk Art.
To create a change up on my front porch, I used Heidi Swapp Yellow Spray Chalk, Black Spray Chalk, and the Geometric Rug Stencil. Playing around with this collection helped me to create a welcoming entrance to our front porch.
The large main stencil in the kit was chalked in Black to create the main portion of this 'welcome mat'. By masking off the surrounding area with foam core I was able to get this part in place.
Next I used the Welcome Home Large Stencils Kit for the greeting. White Spray Chalk was added to create a bit of shadow. But will have to say: next time I would not use the white against the pattern as it sort of makes the yellow "Welcome' a bit too subtle. But otherwise, this was such a fun way to change up the front.
The Chalk Art Collection isn't just for party celebrating. Creating fun little spaces of change to celebrate a new season is a perfect way to create with Spray Chalk Paint.
Be sure to check out this video. Heidi Swapp at work with the rug stencils creating quiet a beautiful space for a backyard gathering.
And tell me, how would you decorate with the Spray Chalk Paint?
