what to do when you have a stud in your life

When you have a stud in the house...scrap him.
This week on the Bella Blvd Social Media Roundup my submission includes this studly boy pictured here.
I have really enjoyed creating these pages this summer with the Bella Blvd Secrets of the Sea. The 'stud' die cut found in the Paper Pieces set this page in motion. My littlest striking a pose on the shore was all this story needed to bring it to life.
As is my usual method, I clustered Paper Pieces, Enamel Stickers, Puffy Hearts and stickers from the Fundamentals sticker sheet to create a focus for the telling of this story. This kid loves to be at the water. His sisters take off on the paddle board, and he and I try and catch fish, play frisbee, splash, and generally explore the shore line while the bigger siblings are away. It's been one of the ways we have lived in the sunshine this summer.
One would not normally reach for orange for a waterside page. But I loved how that color popped all the blue and green found in the photo. Color as you may or may not know is a bit of a stretch for me. But Bella's collections are so full of color that it has been a great creative stretch for me to explore bolder hues.
So the moral of this story is: Take all the photos. Tell all the stories. Enjoy all the moments of summer. And turn all that into a bright and colorful scrapbook page.
