Just how I feel on the first day of second.
Delighted.
That's how I feel.
I told someone recently, I am ready for school to start, but not for the kids to be gone.
Spoken like a mom, no?
But mostly I feel delighted.
My littlest is on his way to a brand new year, brand new teacher, and brand new adventures.
And I feel delighted for him as well as myself.
He's just so excited to get back to the routine.
And I am truly excited and looking forward to all that the new academic year has for us all.
And of course we have to make a bit of a deal about this landmark day.
This called for some words. I opted for the Medium Letterboard for this second graders little photo shoot.
To be honest, we tried the Large size...and he just could not quite handle that size. It was hilarious trying to work through him attempting to hold on to that larger board.
There was plenty of room for all my words on the Large size...but I had to get honest...it just was not going to happen.
The Medium size Letterboard is perfect for smaller hands to hold on to. It's a great medium to record a few details. And...there was no complaining from the second grader while he was posing for me.
Perfect way to record this or any other banner day.
Did I say I was delighted? yeah well...I may be a little proud too. And a little emotional. He's getting so big and these moments are happening faster and faster all the time.
