Gift wrap is always a diy addiction for me.
For a few years now Heidi Swapp has come out with collections made for the gift wrap obsessed. This year the range includes wrapping paper in an assortment of colors, foam and wood mounted stamps of many variety. Plus tags and die cuts and ribbon. All one needs to make those packages too pretty to open.
I have to say I think my favorite pieces are the Wood Mounted Mini Stamps. I'm just a traditionalist kinda girl.
Wood mounted stamps have always found a place in my vast stamp collection. These no doubt will stand the test of time.
I liked stamping the tags and using them as embellishment elements on these gift bags, also part of the collection. The tags are usually embellished on the front leaving plenty of room on the back for the recipients name.
That deer! He's all that. I used some of the wrapping paper and created an additional notched tag as backdrop to the circle tag. The ribbon, from the Red and Black Set from the collection, literally ties it all off. These kind of graphic and straight forward wrap ensembles are great for the guys in my life.
One of my favorite of the foam stamps is the circle stamp. I used that stamp often in my Wrapped With Love class over at Big Pictures Classes.
This stamp will also get a lot of mileage as of course it's not just a Christmas or holiday theme. And that little Clear Embellishment hanging from the Red Velvet bow is a simple yet elegant way to create a beautiful gift. These just might be a serious hoarding issue for me.
The last package I want to share with you today is yet another simple but fun approach to making a gift tempting to not open.
Using ribbon from the collection plus tulle that I always have in my stash, I created a 'junque' bow. One of my tried and true approaches to any kind of package. Simply using an assortment of ribbons all tied together with one larger ribbon creates a whimsical and fun look.
And that's a wrap. (see what I did there?) The possibilities are endless with basic pieces like stamps, tags, wrapping paper and ribbon. Wrapping for some can be the least of the favorite parts of Christmas, but I hope some inspiration here helps create an inspired time of wrapping up your gifts with love.
