chipboard challenge ~ jot magazine
3.11.2016
The newest issue of Jot Magazine is out! And so gorgeous!!!
Kim Archer absolutely outdoes herself...she does such a beautiful job publishing this very inspiring publication. For me it simply breathes new life into story telling and sharing life. This magazine is a beautiful resource for us creatives...whether we have played with paper for a long time or are brand new at this hobby.
One of the galleries found in this particular issue is Chipboard. The team, as well as other contributors, were challenged to create a layout with an emphasis on chipboard.
This layout was kept really simple. The focus, of course, is the photo. Me and my girls. A hot mess we are. I laid down texture paste over a plus stencil.
The only other embellishments used was chipboard. Taking from Maggie Holmes 12x12 Chipboard Stickers as well as Crate Paper's Love Chipboard Stickers, it was super easy and quick to cluster just a couple of pieces and create visual interest to this story.
This is a super fun and doable creative exercise. Limit yourself to only chipboard and maybe a mixed media element. And tell your story.
