project life ~ jot magazine
1.10.2016
Jot Magazine continues to be such a beautiful and inspirational place for memory keeping. The team there is amazing. I continue to be inspired and drawn to their work...
which in turn spurs me on to documenting the memories.
For Issue No.12 that was out early December 2015, I participated in the Project Life Gallery with a double page spread. Part of my write up for that gallery was that I was in make up mode. And sadly, admittedly, I still am. But I am not defeated. I love this way of keeping my family's memories that I will just do what I need to do to get a bit caught up. One little thing every day.
So here today, I am just going to share a whole lot of eye candy. These pages are from last summer...oh...how I miss summer...Lots of events happening and lots of happy to remember.
I used Heidi Swapp Project Life Prismatic as well as some Picturesque. A few of the Value Kit elements are thrown in there too. All the kits just go together so well. Makes it so easy.
With these 3x4-pockets, I like to take a 6x4 photo and split it in half.
I also did a similar feature with that large FAB card. I like to play outside the pockets.
These 6x4 sentiment journal cards always entice me to embellish right on the card.
And then the opposite is true too...if I like a card that is smaller than the pocket, I just make it work anyway. Sometimes for a 6x4 sized pocket I will use vellum as my backer paper and adhere my smaller photos or journal cards to that.
Another thing I have noticed I do a lot lately is punch out shapes from a journal card and use as a mini document space. Just adds some interest.
So here is to a new year of documenting in an organized, yet fun and pretty fashion.
