jot & heidi part two

Jot Magazine and Heidi Swapp pair up for a beautiful Mini Mag.
Last week I shared a couple of paper projects that were part of Jot Magazines Jot&Heidi Mini Mag. You can see that post here.
Today is a little look at a gift set that was done for that edition too.
On purpose I kept all the projects I did for this special edition made with Heidi Swapp's Wanderlust Collection. I think we can get too overwhelmed at times by how much product we love to collect. I mean, it's just all so beautiful and fun and full of possibilities. So this was a great exercise in keeping to one collection and focusing on only a few products.
supplies:
Flea Market Pouch
Pattern Paper
Happy Die
A wrapped box to me is just like any other canvas. Layers work just as well on a gift box as they do a flat 12x12 piece of pattern paper. I wrapped this gift in pattern paper, and then white tulle. On the box I used a hot glue gun to layer on die cut pieces from the Flea Market Pouch. 'Happy', one of the die cuts that was released with this collection, is used to cut a piece of pink foil paper. That too is hot glued to the flower. I used the Alpha Gold Foil Kit to create the 'hello' sentiment tag. Gold glitter tape (also from the Flea Market Pouch), is snipped and tucked in under the flower.
Of course a gift is not complete without a card. Similar technique was used with the card as was the gift. Pattern paper layered with a journal tag that is layered with a flower that is layered with a label that is layered with a die cut 'love'. You get the idea.

Valentines is right around the corner. This sort of simple attention to a gift or card will go a long way in sharing your love.
Be sure to follow Jot Magazine if you don't already. You will not be disappointed.
