I love creating. I love creating with someone in mind...
that is probably my favorite. Since World Kindness Day is upon us this week, and really, shouldn't we practice kindness everyday?, I went with my favorite 'thinking about someone else' go-to act... creating cards and mailing them in the mail... as in the post. the post office. are you familiar with the term?
This Instax Kit from Heidi Swapp available at Michaels Stores has been vying for my attention for a while now. What with the gold and black and white. And did I mention polka dots on envelopes? Oh yes!
The Instax Card Kit comes with already made card bases, envelopes, washi tape, and stickers. Wanting to embellish the fronts of mine a tad more, I also added embellishments from the Sticker Collection also found at Michaels. These little cards to give away just made me very content to create.
To the first card I added a Mini Note, a Glitter Star and Puffy Arrow sticker along with the gold foil 'laugh' that is part of the Instax kit.
Inside the cards are little slits that are made perfect of course for an Instax Photo. The idea was to share some kindness with far off friends. I printed a meaningful photo via my Instax Share Printer. Then I slipped it into the provided slots inside the tri-fold card. A sticker, this one here comes with the kit, is added to the top of the photo. Now all I need to do is jot down a note and actually send it in the mail.
I did several of these. We have plenty of opportunity to share kindness with not only strangers, but those we love. Sometimes I think we assume that they know our thoughts towards them already. But not always. It's important to reach out to the ones you love and actually tell them just that.
The inside photo for this card uses a sentiment from the washi tape included in the kit.
Alright. So there you have it. A suggestion for sharing kindness on World Kindness Day. How will you spread the love? Tell them you care. Show them you love them. Hoping you were inspired with at least one way to do just that.
They are precious! I really need to visit the post office and actually mail my cards!
