Intentional living is a phrase coined by many.
A phrase that really got a hold of me last month.
And as they say, when the student is ready, the teacher appears.
The student was ready last month.
She discovered so many people of motivation and inspiration.
So many ideas and books came across her vision.
It was almost overwhelming.
As I teased on Instagram earlier in the week, I had a work in progress happening with the Heidi Swapp Instax Planner Kit.
from my Instagram feed @jamiepate |
The kit includes, of course, a spiral bound planner with month at a glance as well as week at a glance pages. There is a gold foil sticker sheet with all the months plus icons like stars and hexagons. In addition two more sheets of stickers that fit right into the calendar and day spaces. Plus, a roll of washi tape. I put all that to work as well as additional embellishments from Michaels that are from the Heidi Swapp Sticker Collection.
There was no real thought process behind this. I grabbed my spiritual planner plus another notebook where I throw down random notes and quotes. I listen to a lot of podcasts and even catch people on Periscope. When I hear that word, that word just for me, I jot it down real quick. Instagram is a great place for inspiration as well. There is just a wealth of people out there doing amazing work to speak into other people's lives. I know I have been touched.
Sometimes I write right on the calendar page. Sometimes I use a Note from the Sticker Collection.
I even added a sticker to remind me of a family event we had. It was sort of a big deal. It took a lot of energy on my part. And so I place it here in my intentional living planner as a reminder that even though family and friend gatherings can be work, that it takes a village to feed a small crowd, it is always worth it to be intentional about these things. Because..life, indeed, is relentless.
Here is another one of the stickers that fits right inside the day square on the calendar. I mean, how can I not be inspired by a hand written phrase from Heidi. She is an ultimate inspirer-er as you well know.
'Start here' is one of the clear stickers that is abundant in the Instax Planner Kit. I needed to round that idea out with this idea: it starts with me! Whatever is to be accomplished in my life, it has to start with me. I have to deal with me right where I am first. This can be a hard face to face concept. But I am actually liking the results.
Be intentional. Going to continue to journey with this phrase. Going to continue to be a student and watch and listen for how this needs to play out in my life. I love how I can see so much of what transpired in October for me right here all laid out like this. November is just warming up, and I am already overwhelmed by what is confronting me in this arena. I makes me welcome each day and invite in whatever it is I am to discover. I wish for you, my friend, the same discovery. Amen.
Love it......
