national s'mores day

Ah...summer...it is passing by ever so quickly. Especially for those of us in the Rockies. School starts this week...so we did all we could these past few days to enjoy the fleeting freedom that is summer.

Fire pit. Marshmallows. Chocolate. Graham crackers. This is how we celebrated the last 'official' evening of summer break. S'mores! or as our family calls them...sh'moes.

Had a little bit of fun with the s'mores making. In light of today being National S'mores Day and all. I created a box using the brand new collection by Pink Paislee called Cedar Lane. If you have not had a chance at that gorgeous collection, you can oooooh and aaaaaah right here.

Using the WeRMemoryKeepers Punch Board for gift boxes. These are great party favors or even a fab way to pass out servings of this fireside treat. I just folded down the flaps to create an open end. I slipped some makings in there for a couple of s'mores. Wrapped the box with a strip of pattern paper, seaming binding and then finished it off with a word phrase from the Ephemera pack and a fun fun Arrow Embellishment.
