countdown 2 christmas ~ pink paislee

Oh what fun!!!

I have to say...being a contributor to the Pink Paislee Countdown 2 Christmas Event is doing so many things to this heart of mine.

Creating with the beautiful elements from the Merry & Bright Collection is turning my heart towards Christmas. Planning my pages for this December album is getting me all organized and indeed very excited to share some of our family traditions by way of this event.

That album...it is pure gorgeous! I have not used this size before and am having such a time of it as I get my pages in place and look forward to all that my December pages mean to me. It is a very sturdy album that is ring bound. Can't wait to show you inside.

But in the mean time...a sneak of what I have started already...

I am not cheating and getting ahead...nope...not really
The first page is always an ode to our family's official year photo. So that will start things off. It also sets the tone for the rest of the album.

This year I plan on plenty of room for journaling. Since having started December Daily several several years ago, I think my first book is from 2008, or is it '07? oh...see I can't remember...that is why these books mean so very much to me. But I feel the need this year to put more emphasis on our traditions, on my writing, and not so much about capturing each single day. I will have 25 page layouts in there, but each 'day' is going to be a bit more thematic.

Does that make sense?
Well, then I guess you will have to come back and see my work in progress.

So it all starts on December 1st...yep...that's right...just a week from today!!!
