Taking a Memory File and offsetting it on the 12x12 layout and sharing lots o' photos from our July 4 neighborhood event.
Our Independence Day activities are a big deal to this family and community, so there are always lots of photos to be had. And today I share how those became part of this page ready to be part of my "ProjectLife" album.
Today I just wanted to show you the 'rest of the story'.
I went old school and did a double! what? get out. yes I did.
I just don't do double spreads anymore, but I had so much fun playing with how to connect these two pages together, although they could each stand alone.
Since I off cut the Memory File on the main page, there were two piece left, and I used one at the top of the right side to connect the two pages. A few notched banners in the same pattern pieces as on the left page were added too.
I used the 6x6 Chevron Stencil on both pages with paint. By adding that technique in both the upper left corner, and then the lower right corner, the eye is sure to scan the entire two pages to 'connect those dots'.
The Color Magic Stars, and the alpha from the elements page on the No Limits paper pad along with a few wood stars were simple yet repeated elements that also kept these two pages together.
And don't forget, lots of journaling was a priority on this page too. Heidi totally nailed it today adding to my post that if I don't get it documented, I forget it. And there is way too much going on everyday, and in the big events, to want to forget anything.
blessings to you and have a fabulous day!
