Have you been following along with this weeks wood challenge over at HeidiSwapp.com?
Do you remember when this was posted on instagram last week?
This week some of the Media Team from Heidi Swapp took a wood album, some specific tools and supplies, and turned their version of the Heidi Swapp Wood Album into complete works of art.
You HAVE to go see what Maggie and Lindsay did with their challenge.
both different.
both very well executed and beautiful.
Today I just wanted to show you my version:
This album was the star version as seen here.
The cover was sprayed with Color Shine Primrose...
Using a stencil cut from the Silhouette a layer of Color Shine Georgia Peach was added.
Before removing the stencil, a light spray of Color Shine Bronzer was used on top of it all.
Bronzer is such a rich, beautiful and diverse Color Shine.
The stencil effect created a wonderful dimension of color.
I thought the hues played beautifully with the Sugar Chic pink leopard pattern + the floral pattern. Really liked how those two patterns played each other up.
A notched piece of the back of a photo stack was added as a third banner.
Another length used a combination of Primrose and Georgia Peach. Combining colors of Color Shine allows for yet another array of shades.
The seam binding and a disco arrow were stapled together along with a folded over Paper Banner.
Do not underestimate the subtle details of those Paper Banners. I cannot get enough for them and use them everywhere.
A dot of hot glue was used to adhere this piece to the top corner of the album.
The new Glitz Design washi tape has a sentiment I will be using everywhere...choose happiness.
and a Sentiment Sticker completes the look.
Hope you will go take a look at what the girls did with their albums...
these are hoarding issues I am sure...
and if you have your own creation to show off, Heidi has a big contest she will be announcing soon...
now go...
create and choose happiness today.
Love love! Terrific job :)

ReplyDeleteGorgeous album, Jamie! And it's so you, which is the best part! xo
ReplyDeleteJamie,
ReplyDeleteI ADORE the zig/zag effect- I have to admit I hadn't thought to do something like that to… well any surface. The little "sparkle" tag is adorable- how did you do that? Stamp? Send through printer? Do tell.
