one little word ~ august blog hop

I did not make the hop list this month.
Which is o.k.
This time of year is a very busy one for me.

That said, I wanted to share some thoughts on my olw.
gifts.
sigh...
think I have fallen off the gifts wagon.
while i still continue to daily write the gifts in my life down...
fearing i myself have not been much of a gift.
i shall not regale you with that here...

but rather share what is in my view right now.

this month's prompt from the BigPictureClass by Ali Edwards was to create a personal playlist for your word.
hmmm....
just am not engaging with that right now.

for one...
as much as i LOVE music, I am not listening to much right now.
when i do have a chance, i catch up on a daily podcast that I subscribe to.
and what i listen to...has little to do with my word.
and i want to remain authentic as i work through my word: gifts.

so...
what DOES speak to me write now...
WORDS.
words always speak to me.

and i am so thankful for pinterest where i can collect those words.

as a matter of fact...
i have two word boards over there...
WORD ART which is a collection of, not only quotes that i adore, but the fact that they are done in a creative way...

here is one of my many favorites from Rhonna Farrar.

and then there is another board simply called WORDS...

this is a new all time favorite...

sometimes the lines are smudgey between the two boards...it could really be one board...

but you get the idea.

so, to sum things up...
these quotes are not necessarily about my word gifts...
but i AM indeed always thankful for the gift that the sun is...
and wouldn't i indeed be a gift to other's if i could only live out the 'be's' of that last piece.
