Welcome, again, to the OLW blog hop hosted by Margie. You may have come from her post as she was the first stop on this months edition.
may's opening page |
The prompt this month was to look back and look ahead. And then to create a to do list of what one wants to do with their word. As well as what one has done with their word. I found this prompting so insightful and action promoting once again. I found that sometimes the to do did not necessarily have to do with the word, but came from the word. It came from how my word has been effecting me. It came from how my word is evolving as this year marches on.
they have kept me true to my word
they have caused me to be accountable to my purpose
they have enabled me to track my progress and positive changes
they have established a routine of review and opportunity to adjust
they have allowed for paper, photo and life art to find their way into my life all the while focusing on an important aspect of my life: prayer.
Words of encouragement found in Ali's promt this month:
be gentle with yourself. Change is not easy. It does not happen instantly. It's a process. Life is a process and can be full of reward.
we have opportunity to choose our thoughts. which means we also have opportunity to change up our direction and adjust if we need to. It's a very powerful thing we possess. We have the choice of action.
document. not only where you want to go. but where you have been. Remember your accomplishments. And celebrate them.

Your album is absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI have felt the same way about my word and how I've found some goals/actions/themes indirectly from my word. I chose clear for my word and it's lead me to learn more about happiness, gratitude, and appreciating right now. These are all things I wasn't focusing on when the year began, but it was clear that I needed to spend some time on them.
This is stunning! I loved Ali's thought about choosing our own thoughts also. Wonderful post. I scrolled down to your other posts and found some other fabulous goodies too. Wow!
