she is on a colonial kick right now. her and a few friends took an enrichment class last year based on the American Girl book Felicity. that translated into us taking her to williamsburg for her 10th birthday...and the love affair continues as now she needs this colonial dress.
and i love the challenge of this creative activity. so it's a joy for both of us.
as far as the rest of this week goes...it started like this::
You never cease to amaze me. What an exciting project - I cannot wait to see the end result. Love the park pics! Cannot believe you have had snow already - wow - is it early or what!! Hope you are feeling better!
ReplyDeletehaha! So that's what you've been up to?! My ! Lucky Lucky Girls...I can't wait to see the result and what a wonderful way to teach your children about history!

Can't wait to see the end result of your project! Looks pretty hard to me!!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute your girls and the costumes...my mom's b'day is halloween and I use to make everyone costumes as well. Didn't mind making them because if you made a mistake it wasn't a big deal cause it's a fun costume and it's a complitment when people ask you "did you make that"...not the same feeling when you make a regular piece of clothing..ha ha
ReplyDeleteNow-a-days with all the homemade stuff and etsy it wouldn't be all that bad...but a few years ago...it was not the "in" thing. Love you blog, take care, Roberta
